Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using WorldSeeIran ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

WorldSeeIran is an informational website built to provide information about Iran. The Service is designed to:

• Monitor internet connectivity status in Iran
• Raise awareness about human rights violations in Iran
• Provide information about victims of human rights abuses ("Unforgotten Heroes")
• Provide information about those responsible for human rights violations ("Oppressors")
• Provide a public slogans directory to browse protest slogans
• Enable anonymous public submissions of slogans for admin review
• Provide a "Chant mode" view to help groups chant the same slogan in sync (client-side timing)
• Enable anonymous public submissions of oppressor information
• Allow users to vote on the accuracy of oppressor information
• Enable anonymous comments and reports about oppressor information
• Offer real-time air traffic tracking information over Iran using publicly available flight data
• Share information about social media discussions and trends related to Iran
• Provide a "Solidarity Hub" to discover and submit global solidarity events supporting Iran

The Service uses publicly available data and third-party APIs to provide real-time and historical information about internet connectivity patterns and aircraft positions. The platform includes sections documenting both the victims ("Unforgotten Heroes") and those responsible for human rights violations ("Oppressors").

Important: This is a purely informational website. We do NOT collect personal data from visitors to this website. We do NOT engage in commercial activities, marketing, or advertising. The website serves solely to provide information about Iran for educational and awareness-raising purposes.

Third-Party Services

Our Service relies on third-party services and APIs to function properly. By using our Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Cloudflare Radar API: We use Cloudflare Radar API to monitor internet connectivity. The availability and accuracy of this data depend on Cloudflare's services and are subject to Cloudflare's terms of service and API usage policies.
• OpenSky Network API: We use OpenSky Network API to provide air traffic tracking over Iran. The aircraft position and flight information is derived from publicly available ADS-B transponder data. The availability and accuracy of this data depend on OpenSky Network's services and are subject to OpenSky Network's terms of service and API usage policies. • Authentication Services: User authentication is handled by Better-Auth, which manages login credentials and session data according to their security practices and terms of service.
• Database Services: Application data is stored using PostgreSQL database services, which may be hosted by third-party providers subject to their own terms and conditions.
• Hosting and Infrastructure: Our Service may be hosted on third-party infrastructure providers, and their terms of service apply to the hosting environment.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party services. Any issues with third-party services may affect the functionality of our Service, and we disclaim all liability for such issues.

Use of Service

Permitted Use

You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree to:

• Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Respect the rights of others
• Not use the Service to harm, threaten, or harass others
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service

Prohibited Activities

User Submissions and Content

Our Service allows users to submit content anonymously, including:

• Slogan Submissions: Anonymous submissions of protest slogans and optional details (translation, transliteration, context, tags, and source links)
• Oppressor Information Submissions: Anonymous submissions of information about individuals, including images, biographical data, and evidence
• Votes: Anonymous votes on whether oppressor information is correct or incorrect
• Comments: Anonymous comments providing additional information about oppressors
• Reports: Anonymous reports of false or misleading information
• Solidarity Event Submissions: Submissions of global solidarity events, including optional proof images/posters and optional organizer contact details

By submitting content, you agree that:

• You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute such content in any media
• You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to grant the license described above
• Your content does not violate the rights of any third party
• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit
• You understand that all submissions are reviewed by administrators before publication
• You accept that we are not responsible for the accuracy of submitted information
• You will not submit false, defamatory, or misleading information
• You will not abuse the submission system (e.g., spam, duplicate submissions, automated submissions)
• You will not upload proof images/posters that contain sensitive personal data (for example, ID documents or private addresses) or images of people who did not consent

Rate Limiting and Abuse Prevention: To ensure fair use and prevent abuse, we implement rate limiting and other anti-abuse controls on submission features. Limits may change over time.

Content Moderation: User-submitted content (including solidarity events and proof images) is subject to review by administrators. We reserve the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any content at our sole discretion, including for safety, legal, or quality reasons. Approved content may be displayed publicly.

Chant mode: Chant mode is a client-side view that highlights words based on a shared start time (for example via a share link). We do not guarantee perfect synchronization across devices, networks, or browsers.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION:

• That the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• That the results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
• That any errors in the Service will be corrected
• That the Service will meet your requirements or expectations
• That the information provided on this informational website is accurate, complete, current, or reliable

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our سیاست حریم خصوصی and سیاست کوکی, constitute the entire agreement between you and WorldSeeIran regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous written or oral agreements between you and WorldSeeIran. You may also be subject to additional terms and conditions that may apply when you use third-party services, third-party content, or third-party software.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
